Lake Upsata and Western Montana is "the last best place!"

Merriwether Lewis and his party of adventurers came up the Blackfoot River on their return trip from the Pacific Ocean. As they looked across the Blackfoot Valley, his group was intrigued by the endless rolling hills and mounds formed by glacial activity thousands of years ago.  Lewis himself was fascinated by the valley's rich biological diversity and beauty, and named the region "Prairie of the Knobs," after the  odd geological formations.

We still gaze across these rolling hills from our home in the Blackfoot Valley.  This is where we base our family outfitting business, and this is where you'll embark on the adventure of a lifetime as we take you to the Bob Marshall Wilderness.  We spend our summers on roving pack trips, and the fall is filled with challenging hunting trips.  We look forward to meeting you!
